Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav has issued orders to the General Manager of Northern Railway regarding the stopping of Vande Bharat at Pathankot Cantonment. Now the Ministry of Railways will issue its notification in a day or two. This has been confirmed by MLA Ashwani Sharma. MLA Ashwani Sharma has also shared a copy of the order issued by the Ministry of Railways in this regard.

Let us tell you that on January 4, MLA Ashwani Sharma met Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav in Delhi. Meanwhile, he also submitted a demand letter regarding Vande Bharat Bandh in Pathankot Cantonment. MLA Ashwani Sharma had told that Pathankot is a confluence of three states. If Vande Bharat has a stopover at Pathankot, passengers from Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal along with passengers traveling to Delhi from Gurdaspur, Dinanagar, Mukerian, Talwara, Hajipur etc. will benefit.

According to the orders issued by the Ministry of Railways, stoppage of 22439/22440 has been made at Pathankot Cantt. This train departs from Delhi at 6 AM, which will reach Pathankot Cantt after stopping at Ambala and Ludhiana. After Pathankot cantt at 11:25 it will reach Katra at 2 pm. On return, it will reach Delhi at 11 am via Pathankot cantt, after Katra at 3 pm 5:25 pm. This will save time for businessmen going to Delhi.
