Bank Holiday in July 2023: Banks across the country will remain closed for about 15 days in July 2023, including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. Both private and public sector banks are open on the first and third Saturdays of every month. As per RBI guidelines, banks will be closed on all public holidays and some regional holidays are state-specific. However, regional holidays are determined by the respective state governments. Also, the banking regulator has made it mandatory for banks to remain closed on Sundays.

There will be a total of 15 holidays in July
There are eight holidays in the month of July except Saturdays and Sundays. Which will start from the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Sahib on 5th July and will end on 29th July with the Muharram holiday. These holidays will be applicable to all banks in India except some states. On the other hand, there are 7 holidays associated with Saturday and Sunday. There are going to be 5 Sundays and two Saturday holidays in the month of July. There are total 15 holidays in the month of July. If someone has very important work in the bank, then his time will have to be made according to bank holidays. However, ATMs, cash deposits, online banking and mobile banking will continue to function as normal.

2000 rupees notes are being deposited
On the other hand, 2000 rupee notes are being deposited in all the banks of the country. In the month of May, RBI had ordered to withdraw Rs 2000 notes. The people of the country were asked to deposit these Rs 2000 notes by the end of September. On which continuous work is going on. In such a case, if someone gets Rs 2000 notes in July and has to deposit them in banks, then such people will have to adjust according to the bank holiday.
