Nishant Batra, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer of Nokia in his country, praised the Indian government’s approach towards 6G spectrum and said that India has become the third largest country in terms of activities in the field of 6G spectrum standardization for Nokia.

Nokia’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer Nishant Batra said at the Mobile World Congress that Nokia has started hiring those who have completed 6G standardization at its Bengaluru office. India has become the third largest country for Nokia in terms of 6G standardization.

Batra said, we are beginning to see the moment of defining the 6G spectrum in India. This is a very inspiring progressive step by the government. In this matter, I am very proud to say that a progressive step is being taken apart from the rest of the world.

The Department of Telecom constituted a Technology Innovation Group on 6G (TIG-6G) on November 1, 2021. In this, various ministries, departments, research and development institutions, telecom service providers and industry people were made members, so that the vision, mission and goals for 6G could be created and an action plan could be prepared for 6G in India.
