Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced to name the Dasuha-Hoshiarpur road after Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia to make the young generation aware of the rich heritage of the state. Congratulating the people on the 300th birth anniversary of the great warrior Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, the Chief Minister said that the bravery of such heroes has inspired us to always make selfless sacrifices for the country. He said that the great Sikh Gurus have given us a message to fight against oppression and injustice and warriors like Sardar Jassa Singh guarded the legacy of the great Gurus.

Bhagwant Mann said that it is a matter of pride for us that we are the inheritors of such a wonderful heritage which has no parallel in the world. Reiterating his government’s determination to develop Punjab as a model state in terms of per capita income, the Chief Minister said that the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government has fulfilled the long wait of the people of Punjab to realize their dreams.

The Chief Minister said that the holy land of Punjab is blessed with great Gurus, Saints, Pirs and Prophets. He said that Punjabis are entrepreneurs by birth who have achieved a unique position in the world. He said that the need of the hour is to ensure the all-round development of the state by using this immense potential.

Bhagwant Mann said that the government is committed to exploit this potential to restore the state’s ancient glory and make it ‘Rangala Punjab’. The Chief Minister said that Punjabis have always been at the forefront of every battle, due to which the state is known as the backbone of the country.

Announcing the struggle against unemployment in the state, Bhagwant Mann said that the fight against unemployment has been started on this earth because so far 29 thousand government jobs have been given to the youth in a transparent manner. Mentioning the steps taken against the corrupt leaders, the Chief Minister said that each money will be recovered from these leaders and this money will be used for the development of the state. He said that those looting tax payers’ money will not be spared for their bad deeds.

Bhagwant Mann said that action has been initiated against the corrupt leaders and they have been put behind bars and others will have to face similar punishment. Paying floral tributes to Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, the Chief Minister said that this brave hero had fought 11 battles to protect the sovereignty of the country. He said that following the path of this great hero, the state government has also waged a war against corruption.

Bhagwant Mann said that many leaders involved in corruption have been put behind bars. He said that if any leader belonging to the ruling party is found guilty of corruption, he will not be spared. Remembering the contribution of Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, the Chief Minister promised to fulfill the dreams of martyrs. The Chief Minister said that his government had also assumed office on the holy land of Khatkar Kalan.

Bhagwant Mann said that Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, following the footsteps of his grandfather Hardas Singh who fought many battles against Mughal oppression with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, never bowed down to the oppression of the invaders. He was a prominent Sikh leader during that period who became the Sardar of Ramgarhia Misal. Targeting the previous state governments for ignoring these great heroes, the Chief Minister said that due to the ineptitude of the previous governments, the youth of the state did not know about the contribution of these heroes.

Bhagwant Mann said that after assuming office, his government has started many projects in the name of the nation’s builders. Bhagwant Mann also announced various projects for the district including a college and road strengthening and widening projects.

The Chief Minister said that the district will be developed as a tourist destination and various water projects will also be started in this regard, which will provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is drawing up policies or projects with the suggestions and advice of every partner for proper and proper use of the government treasury. Earlier, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa warmly welcomed the dignitaries. He assured the people that the tag of backward area would be removed from the district by completing various development projects.
