He has shared a video on his Instagram account, in which he is seen helping a person trapped in a crashed car. Mohammed Shami has written in the caption along with the video, ‘He is very lucky, God has given him a second life. His car plunged down the mountain road towards a ditch in Nainital. They were walking right in front of my car. We got them out of the car safely. In the video, the Indian fast bowler and his teammates are seen standing next to the crashed car.
Mohammad Shami was a prominent name among the players who influenced India’s ODI World Cup campaign. Unfortunately, Team India lost against Australia in the final. Experienced fast bowler Shami took 24 wickets at an average of 10.71 in 7 World Cup matches. He was not part of India’s playing eleven in the first 4 matches of the league stage against Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
