Ministry of Immigration: Extends the term of 800 border guards until 2027

The action aims to strengthen the operational capacity of the Hellenic Police for the protection and surveillance of the country’s external borders through the renewal of the mandate 800 Fixed-Term Border Guards (S.F.O.X.) in the Eastern Aegean Directorates.

The action lasts the entire Programming Period 2021-2027 and the total budget amounts to 114,000,000 euros.

As stated in the relevant announcement of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, it will be co-financed by European Union from the Hellenic Program of the Instrument of Financial Support for Border Management and the Visa Policy of the Fund for Integrated Border Management of the programming period 2021-2027.
