Threads App: Facebook and Instagram-owned Meta is gearing up to launch its new text-based app Threads App to compete with Twitter.
It is being claimed that this social media app can be launched this week itself. The launch of the Threads app comes at a time when Twitter has announced new restrictions on the app.
In fact, Twitter has made it mandatory to be verified to use TweetDeck under the new ban. That is, users who do not have a blue tick will not be able to use TweetDeck.
Know what is Threads App? Threads, Instagram’s text-based conversation app, is expected to be released on Thursday, July 6, according to an Apple App Store listing.
It will allow users to follow accounts they follow on the photo-sharing platform Instagram. Along with this, users will also be allowed to have an Instagram username. However, so far Meta has not given any information about such a launch on the Google Play Store.
Meta App Threads is currently available for pre-order on the App Store. According to the App Store listing, Threads is a platform where people can come together to discuss current and trending topics.
Here they will get the facility to connect with their favorite creators. This app has features like Instagram and Twitter. Plus, it will appeal to existing Instagram users and those looking for a new social media platform.
