The company is increasing the prices of its vehicles for the second time in three months. The company said that the showroom prices of its vehicles will increase by up to five percent from April 1, 2023.

The fall in the value of the Indian currency Rupee continues to be a headache for luxury car companies. These companies import most of the parts from abroad, due to which the prices have to increase. Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mercedes-Benz India, said that the company is keeping an eye on the exchange rate of the euro and the rupee has weakened against it in the last few months. He said, “One euro was around Rs 78-79 in October, which is now Rs 87. This is increasing pressure and if we do not take such a step, our business in India will be affected.
Which car is how expensive?
From April, the price of the company’s ‘A-Class Limousine’ will go up by Rs 2 lakh and that of the ‘GLA SUV KS 350d Limousine’ by Rs 7 lakh. The price of ‘Mercedes-Maybach S 580’ will increase by Rs 12 lakh.
