LPG Cylinder Cost: The country is in the grip of inflation. The general public is paying more money for essential things. Meanwhile, this decision of the Rajasthan government is shocking. CM Ashok Gehlot has presented the budget of Rajasthan today, in which he has announced to provide LPG gas cylinder at Rs.500 to 76 lakh consumers of Ujjwala Yojana. Not only this, domestic consumers will now be given 100 units of electricity free of cost per month, earlier the maximum limit was 50 units. Along with this, he said that now students will not be charged again and again, for appearing in three competitive examinations, only one registration will have to be done. Along with this, it has been announced to increase the insurance cover per family from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh under the Char Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme.
Government introduced inflation relief package
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced an inflation relief package of Rs 19,000 crore next year to provide relief to the people from inflation. In this package, it has been talked about giving free food packets to poor families every month. He said that I announce to give free Chief Minister Annapurna food packets every month along with free ration to about one crore families coming under the ambit of the National Food Security Act. One kilogram each of pulses, sugar and salt and one liter of edible oil will be provided in this packet. It will cost around Rs 3,000 crore. He announced to make LPG gas available at Rs.500 from next year to about 76 lakh families of BPL (below poverty line) and low income group included in Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Rs 1,500 crore will be spent on this.
More than 1 crore people will get benefit of free electricity
Domestic consumers will be given 100 units of electricity per month free of cost under the Chief Minister’s Free Scheme. Earlier this limit was 50 units. With this, more than 1.04 crore families out of 1.19 crore in the state will be able to get domestic electricity free of cost. For this, a burden of Rs 7,000 crore will have to be borne. Our target is to provide free electricity to domestic users consuming 300 units per month in a phased manner. We will continue the rebate of about Rs 7,500 crore by reducing VAT (Value Added Tax) applicable on diesel and petrol. An inflation relief package of more than Rs 19,000 crore is proposed to be given next year for cheap LPG cylinders and free domestic electricity.
