In fact, the Haryana government has changed its excise policy, after which it has allowed big state offices or corporate houses to sell and drink beer, low-alcohol wine in their offices. Haryana government has changed the liquor policy

The Haryana government has made changes in the Excise Policy 2023-24. After this change, now the employees will be able to drink alcohol in the offices. A bar can be built in the office itself. The government implemented its new excise policy on May 9, which now allows low-content alcoholic beverages like beer, wine in corporate offices with at least 5,000 employees. Government will issue license L-10F for this.

L-10F license will be obtained after fulfilling several conditions

As per the government’s terms, to avail this facility, companies will first have to meet the requirement of one lakh square feet of space, along with a minimum canteen area of โ€‹โ€‹2000 square feet.

Let us tell that there are 4 such cities in Haryana, where there are some such big companies, which will be able to take advantage of this facility of the government. Among them, Gurugram comes at the first number. After this, there are large corporate and multinational companies in cities like Faridabad, Manesar and Sonepat, which can take advantage of this facility of excise policy.

Under the new excise policy, not only beer and wine will be allowed in the corporate office, but there will also be no ban on jamming at parties. The license holder has to purchase stock of liquor as per the policy. Apart from this, the companies will also have to fulfill the requirements for pubs and bars.

License fee for liquor in office

The company concerned will have to pay an annual fee of Rs 10 lakh for the license to set up a bar in the office itself. Along with this, the license holder will have to pay an additional Rs 3 lakh. This Rs 3 lakh will be taken as security deposit. The policy has reduced the bar license fee for restaurants, pubs and cafes, giving relief to liquor traders as well.
