Mumbai: Aamir Khan Productions has paid tribute to late artiste Lalitha Lajmi, saying that she will always be remembered for her memorable journey. Tributes poured in from the production banner’s official Twitter account on Tuesday night.

The veteran actor made a guest appearance in Aamir Khan’s 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. She believed in constantly reinventing herself as an artiste. Lajmi was the younger sister of filmmaker Guru Dutt. He drew inspiration for his paintings from his films. He also worked as a graphics artist in the 1985 Hindi film “Aghat”.
The late artist’s works were displayed in national and international institutions such as Appa Rao Gallery (Chennai), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Mumbai) and Galerie Gay (Germany). The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai is currently hosting an exhibition of his works, ‘The Mind’s Cupboard’, till 26 February. (agency)
