‘Khedan Watan Punjab Ki’ season-2 will start today, CM will grace the inauguration

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will inaugurate the season-2 of ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Ki’ in Bathinda today. The opening ceremony will be held at the sports stadium from 4 pm. Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann will also play a volleyball match.

Today, in ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diya’, for the first time, rugby will be the center of attraction in Punjab’s sports. Apart from this, exhibition matches of volleyball and tug-of-war will be the center of attraction. Apart from this, film actor and former rugby player Rahul Bose will also perform.

After visiting all the districts of the state before the opening ceremony, the sports torch will be brought to Bathinda, which will be lit by an international player. Players from all districts will participate in the March Past and take an oath to play with sportsmanship. The district administration has completed all the preparations including the final rehearsal on Monday itself.

Folk singers Kulwinder Billa, Harjit Harman, Yasir Hussain, Darshanjit will perform during the cultural program. Apart from this, there will be Gatka, Giddha, Bhangra, Gymnastics and PT show. Many former players who have made Punjab famous will attend as guests. The games will start after the formal announcement of the games by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

35 sports competitions will be organized from block to state level in different age groups. A total of Rs 7 crore will be awarded to the state level winners.

On this occasion Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Hair’s OSD. Karamveer Singh Brar, Vice Chancellor General of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Sports University, Patiala. Jagbir Singh Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Lovejit Kalsi, SP. GS Sangha, Assistant Commissioner General Pankaj Kumar, District Sports Officer Parminder Singh and officials of various departments and their representatives will be present.
