Twelve people, including two shooters, arrested in the case of firing in a land dispute in Ketari Bagan under Namkum police station area of Ranchi district, were sent to jail on Saturday. ASP Headquarters first Mumal Rajpurohit gave this information in a press conference. The raiding team included ASP Mumal Rajpurohit, station in-charge Inspector Sunil Kumar Tiwari, police under-inspector SN Tiwari, Puani Ravi Keshari, Puani Manoj Kumar, Sani Chandranath Oraon and the police force.
Firing took place in land dispute
ASP Headquarters First Mumal Rajpurohit told that Khata No. 239, Plot No. 1184 has 1.44 acres of Bhuihri clothed land, which is registered in the name of Ranjit Pahan’s descendant Somra Pahan in Khatian and Suraj Khalkho is written in the title. The dispute over the land has been going on for years. which is pending in the court. Construction work was being done on the land by Ranjit Pahan, which was damaged by Sunny Akash Khalkho. Ranjit had lodged an FIR against this. Re-construction work was being done by Ranjit, which was stopped after the stay issued by the Sub-Divisional Officer. On Friday, Grace Khalkho along with 50-60 of her supporters went to that land and the construction work was being demolished. Meanwhile, there was a clash with Ranjit’s supporters. Firing was done from both the sides, in which the shooters Pravesh Kumar and Suraj Sahu who came from Ranjit’s side got shot in the legs of Rahul Nag and Ashish Singh.
12 including both shooters jailed
On the basis of the FIR, the police arrested 12 people including both the shooters. One 9 mm pistol and four bullets, one 7.65 mm pistol and two bullets, two bikes and 13 mobiles have been seized from the arrested people. Those arrested included Pravesh Kumar (late Omprakash Ram), Ravi Sinha alias Roshan (late Sanjay Sinha, both residents of Harmu Road), Suraj Kumar Sahu alias Golu (Deepak Sahu), Sunil Munda (Rajkumar Munda, resident of Piska Mod), Vinod Kumar Ram alias Karu (Ganesh Ram), Rohan Singh (Ajit Singh, both Devi Mandap Road Hesl), Vijay Toppo (Gopal Oraon), Shubham Kumar (Shankar Yadav, both Madhukam), Manish alias Monu Kumar Giri (Umesh Giri Gaadi Khana Chowk), Sameer Ba (Morel Ba, Simdega, present address Lalpur), Alok Kullu (Mohan Kullu, Kolebira, present address Lalpur), Prakash Kumar (Kaleshwar College, BIT Mesra).
