Centre to Revoke Ban on Few Digital Loan Apps: A few days ago, the Government of India had banned more than 200 apps related to loans and betting in the country. It was argued by the government that these apps are related to China, but now the ban has been lifted on some of these banned apps. According to the government, the apps from which the ban has been lifted are related to India. On February 5, the government had banned 138 betting and 94 loan giving apps. After this decision of the Center, the users using them have got a big relief.
The government had given 48 hours time
In the report from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, it was told that the apps from which the ban has been lifted include PayU ond LazyPay and Kissht as well as apps from IndiaBulls and Faircent. According to the Economic Times report, these apps were given 48 hours by the government to prove their authenticity. The ban has been lifted from these companies after giving a clear report.
Ban removed from these apps
According to the report, when these apps were banned, all the companies were asked by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to submit their one-week working report. After the working report, the Center has completely lifted the ban on LazyPay, Kissht, indiabullshomeloans and buddyloan, faircent, KreditBee and mPokket. Please tell that there are lakhs of customers using these apps in the country.
Action taken under IT Act
The apps that were banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology were recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ban on the apps was imposed under section 69 of the IT Act.
