Increased toll rates on Amritsar-Delhi highway

Commuters traveling on the Amritsar-Delhi six-lane highway will now have to pay more as toll. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the rates for all vehicles at Ladowal (Ludhiana) and Karnal tolls. Ladowal toll rates for cars have been increased by Rs 15 and Karnal toll rates by Rs 10.

The new toll rates will be effective from 1 September 2023. Ladowal and Karnal tolls are already the most expensive on this highway and now these rates are going to increase further.

As per the new rates fixed by NHAI, Ladowal toll will now charge Rs 165 for a single journey for car-jeep. 245 will be charged for multiple journeys in 24 hours. Their monthly pass will be made for Rs 4930.

Similarly, for light commercial vehicles, single trip on this toll will be Rs 285 and multiple trips in 24 hours will be Rs 430. The monthly pass fee for this category vehicle will be Rs 8625.

At Ladowal toll, trucks and buses will have to pay Rs 575 for a single journey and Rs 860 for multiple journeys in 24 hours. Their monthly pass fee will be Rs 17,245. Similarly, a double axle truck will be charged Rs 925 for a single trip and Rs 1385 for multiple trips in 24 hours. A monthly pass for this category of vehicle will cost Rs 27,720.
