Income from land-property registries recorded 17 per cent increase in first 3 months of financial year: GIMPA

The Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has registered another achievement. In Punjab, 17 percent more income has come to the treasury of the Punjab government from the land-property registries in the first 3 months of the financial year 2023-24.

Finance Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa has said that providing transparent, clean and corruption-free services to the people of Punjab is the main goal of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and due to this, the income of the state is continuously increasing.

Giving detailed information, Gimpa said that the Punjab government has received an income of Rs 1191.20 crore under stamp and registration in April, May and June 2023, which is 17 percent more than these months of 2022. In April, May and June 2022, this income was Rs 1018.63 crore.

Gimpa said that in April, May and June 2023, Rs 441.24 crore, Rs 430.63 crore and Rs 319.33 crore came into the exchequer respectively, while in April, May and June 2022, the amount was Rs 354.69 crore, Rs 383.17 crore and Rs 280.77 crore.

He said that the income of the state is increasing continuously and a large amount is coming to the treasury of the government under stamp and registration. He said that since the first day, the Punjab government has been making meaningful efforts to make the work of the revenue department corruption-free.

He said that after assuming power in the state, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had issued a helpline number for the complaint of corrupt officials/employees, which is showing meaningful results.

In the month of April of the same year, number 8184900002 has been issued only for filing complaints regarding the works of the revenue department. NRIs can register their complaints regarding the revenue department on 9464100168. These numbers are for written complaint only.

Gimpa appealed to the people of Punjab not to give any bribe to any officer or employee for doing any work related to the revenue department and if anyone asks for a bribe then it should be reported immediately. He said that corrupt officers and employees will not be spared at any cost.
