The first three-day tourism summit and travel mart of Punjab has started in Sector-82 of Mohali. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has arrived to inaugurate the programme. Other Cabinet Ministers of Punjab and Chief Secretary of Punjab Anurag Verma and other officials are also present with him.

Kapil Sharma, a famous comedian of Punjab and Bollywood who arrived at the program, appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government. He said that the heritage and culture of Punjab is priceless. Most people do not know about the tourism of Punjab, but through the first tourism summit, people from all over the country and the world will get to know about the tourist places of Punjab and its culture.

Earlier on Sunday evening, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann invited people to be a part of the tourism summit by releasing a video. He tweeted that the host Punjab is waiting with wide eyes. Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann has also expressed hope that the tourism sector of Punjab will get a lot of benefit from this conference.

Big investment is expected in the state from Tourism Summit and Travel Mart
The Punjab government is expecting huge investment in the state from its first tourism summit and travel mart. The state government has identified many tourist spots in Pathankot, Sri Muktsar Sahib and many other districts including Mohali, where various activities can be conducted. Various large projects can be established in such places. Wonderla Group may set up theme park and water sports in Mohali by investing Rs 500 crore.

The Punjab government hopes that the first ever Tourism Summit and Travel Mart will be attended by industrialists from various states. Besides the Wonderla Group, Club Mahindra is looking for a better location in or around Mohali. Apart from the theme park and water sports project in Mohali, the Punjab government will approve other projects after consensus is reached and the MoU is signed in the coming days.

A boost to the tourism sector of Punjab
Punjab Minister Anmol Gagan Mann has expressed hope that the tourism convention and travel mart will give a boost to the tourism sector. The Punjab government is claiming to provide better business environment and facilities to the industrialists. According to Minister Anmol Gagan Mann, the state government has prepared an investor-friendly policy. This will benefit the state along with the investors.

The Punjab government will register it as a national festival.
Various programs will be organized by the Punjab government at the tourist spots of the state. In these, the complete overview of the state will be seen in the ‘Rangla Punjab’ program.
