Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will meet in the second match of the second round of the IPL today. The match will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from 7.30 pm.
There have been many great matches between the two teams in the history of the IPL and this time too there could be fierce competition between the two teams. However, Virat Kohli yesterday announced his resignation from the RCB captaincy after the IPL and will take part in his last tournament as captain with the intention of ending the title drought.
In the first round of the IPL in India, in a match played between the two teams, RCB won by an easy margin of 38 runs. Maxwell and AB de Villiers batted brilliantly in this match. For RCB, De Villiers played a brilliant innings of 76 off 34 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Maxwell also hit an explosive 78 off 49 balls with nine fours and three sixes.
