A car driver hit a traffic policeman in Ludhiana. The car driver dragged the traffic policeman on the bonnet and threw him down while cutting him hard. The traffic policeman stopped the car driver from using mobile phone while driving.

Enraged by this, the young man abused him. The incident is of Mata Rani Chowk. Traffic Head Constable Hardeep Singh on duty when he saw a car driver coming from Ghantaghar Chowk using a mobile phone, signaled him to stop.

Instead of stopping, the driver tried to drive away. Suddenly, Hardeep came in front of the bonnet of the car and the driver accelerated the car. The traffic policeman was taken on the bonnet. Hardeep continued to make noise but the driver dragged him on the bonnet for about 1 km in the areas of Chhoni Mohalla, Manna Singh Nagar etc. He cut hard on the way and knocked Hardeep down.

Hardeep has suffered some injuries in this incident. His uniform is also torn. Hardeep was treated at the Civil Hospital. The traffic police and the local police station have started the process of taking legal action against the accused by taking out the CCTV footage of the vicinity. The investigation of the matter will be started immediately after the statement of the policeman is recorded.
