Apple recently launched the new OS iOS 17 at its WWDC 2023. iOS 17 has been introduced with many new features. iOS 17 also introduces a new standby mode that turns the iPhone into an alarm clock.

Along with iOS 17, Apple also launched iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17. The developer beta of iOS 17 has been released. iOS 17 will be available on iPhone XR and all subsequent iPhones.

Apple provides passcode option in iPhone to prevent the phone from being locked. iPhone asks you for a passcode in the first step of locking. With the iOS 17 update, you will now be able to reset the passcode with the old passcode, but you will only have 72 hours to do so. After this the passcode reset option will be disabled. Even if you forget the passcode, you will have 72 hours to reset it.

If you don’t want your old passcode to be available as a reset option, go to the phone’s settings and tap Face ID & passcode and tap Expires previous passcode now. After this you will not have any problem in setting up the new phone.

This feature also prevents the iPhone from being permanently locked. Repeatedly entering the wrong passcode can permanently lock out your iPhone. You can also reset your iPhone’s passcode by logging in with your Apple ID.

The iOS 17 update will be available to all users by the end of this year. This time Apple has introduced a new journal app. The app makes personalized suggestions using machine learning. This app gives suggestions to users by analyzing photos, places, workouts. If seen, this is the lite version of the Apple Health app itself. The app also tracks the activity of the users and gives them suggestions.
