Sachit Mehra new Liberal Party president: In Canada, Sachith Mehra of Indian origin has been made the new president of the country’s Liberal Party. Canada is governed by the Liberal Party, whose Prime Minister is Justin Trudeau. Sachith Mehra was declared president during the three-day convention of the Liberal Party in Ottawa, Canada on Saturday, May 6.

Sachith Mehra is a resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. His parents came to Canada from Delhi to study in the year 1960. Mehra is also a businessman. His family runs the East India Restaurant Company in Canada. This restaurant is present in two Canadian cities, Winnipeg and Ottawa.

Sachith Mehra announced his name for the post of party president in October last year. She shared her experience as chair of a federal Liberal agency, chair of the Liberal Party in Manitoba, and chair of the Young Liberals. According to Sachith Mehra’s website, he describes himself as a Prairie business owner, manager, philanthropist and volunteer for the past 32 years. In the year 2021, during Covid, he contributed to raising funds to deliver oxygenators to India.
