Important decisions taken by the Punjab Cabinet

An important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet was held today. The meeting was held under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Many important decisions were taken in the meeting. After the meeting, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema gave information about the decisions taken in the meeting. The Cabinet meeting approved the filling of posts in various departments.

The discretionary quota of the Chief Minister and Ministers has been cut in the Cabinet meeting. In the meeting, the discretionary quota of the Chief Minister has been reduced from 50 crores to 37 crores and that of ministers has been reduced from one and a half crores to 1 crores. The meeting also approved the filling of 484 posts in the health department.

Visiting faculty in senior secondary schools have also been approved in the meeting. Sanctioned to fill up 20 posts for administrative reforms. The issue of early release of 5 prisoners came up in the meeting, out of which 4 prisoners were approved for early release, while the release of one prisoner was not approved.
