‘I speak Punjab’ grand debate begins in Ludhiana, opposition absent

The grand debate which was being conducted by the Punjab government on the issues related to Punjab and which was being eagerly awaited by the people of Punjab and the political parties is today, on November 1, on the occasion of Punjab Day, Punjab Agricultural University. It is being held at Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium, Ludhiana, the preparations for which have been completed.

Big news is coming out regarding participation in the grand debate to be held in Ludhiana that Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, Punjab Congress President Raja Waring, Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal have refused to participate in the debate. Apart from this, the leader of the opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, has also refrained from participating in the debate. On behalf of the government, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will participate in the debate.

On the other hand, accusations are being made by Sromani Akali Dal that the government is not serious about the SYL issue. Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi is likely to arrive from Congress.
