The Punjab Haryana High Court has pronounced its verdict on the petition of Bhakra Nangal Vyas Board (BBMB) in the Haryana-Punjab water dispute. The court has said in the judgment that the Punjab government has been posted in Bhakra Nangal Dam and Lohar Control Room Water Regulation offices

Punjab will follow the order of May 2 meeting
The Punjab government will also have to follow the orders given in the meeting chaired by the Union Home Secretary on 2 May. The Punjab Haryana High Court has said in its judgment that if Punjab does not agree with the BBMB orders, then, through the chairman of BBMB, he can put its point before the central government.
The court made a sharp comment in the second day’s hearing
There was a hearing in the Punjab and Haryana High Court for the second consecutive day over the water dispute between Haryana and Punjab. The court reserved the verdict after a 45 -minute debate. Chief Justice Sheelu Nagu had said that the matter is in an emergency, will give the decision today. After this, the court’s decision has come on the second day. During the hearing, the BBMB counsel had said that the Punjab Police cannot stop the operation of BBMB.

3 petitions so far in the High Court ..
3 petitions have been filed in the High Court regarding the Punjab-Haryana water dispute. The first 2 petitions were filed on Saturday. The first petition was filed by Advocate Ravindra Dhul. The second petition was filed by Fatehabad Gram Panchayat.
Both these petitions said that the Punjab Police should be instructed to remove the police from Bhakra Dam. Also, Haryana should be given water drainage, so that local people can get enough water for drinking and irrigation. Haryana should be given 8500 cusecs of water, as BBMB decided in the recent meeting. The petition said that the water coming from Bhakra is a lifeline for Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi.
At the same time, 2 days later, on Monday, BBM filed a petition in the High Court. BBmbb said that the Punjab Police has completely captured the dam. Police personnel have taken all the control units of the dam in their hands.
Punjab CM said- will not give water further
There was a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly over water dispute. In this, CM Bhagwant Mann said that we are giving these water to Haryana right now, it will not be available even further. On the charge of CM Naib Saini going to Pakistan due to shutdown of Haryana, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that even a drop of water is not going in Pakistan. 6 proposals were passed in the session.
Haryana CM said- leave water unconditionally immediately
Haryana CM Naib Saini said that the proposal to stop drinking water in the Punjab Assembly is against unconstitutional and India’s federal structure. Therefore, the Cabinet of Haryana condemns that proposal. We request the Punjab government to release the drinking water of Haryana unconditionally immediately.
He said that BBMB is a body passed from Lok Sabha, which is under the Central Government. The Punjab government can say anything. This can be said that Haryana, Himachal and even Pakistan are ours. They neither believe in the Constitution nor believe the court.
