Bollywood News: Actress Nora Fatehi filed a Rs 200 crore defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez in December 2022. Today i.e. on May 22, a hearing will be held on this in Delhi’s Patiala House Court. Nora accuses Jacqueline of tarnishing her image.
In fact, this entire case is connected with the thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. There is a case of money laundering of more than 200 crores against him. When the ED investigated the case, the names of Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi also came up. Both were accused of accepting expensive gifts from Sukesh. When Jacqueline was questioned in this case, she said that she has been implicated in this case.
Jacqueline said that Nora Fatehi took expensive gifts from Sukesh, but made him an accomplice by framing him. After these allegations, Nora filed a defamation case against several media houses including Jacqueline.

Nora had said in the petition filed against Jacqueline in the Patiala House Court, ‘My opponents are jealous of my success, so they want to spoil my career.’
Nora also claimed that she did not know Sukesh. According to Nora, her reputation has been damaged due to the media trial of this case and only Jacqueline is responsible for it. While appealing to the court, Nora had said, ‘Those who make such absurd allegations against me should be prosecuted under the law and they should be punished immediately.
Nora said – due to the name in the case, the fee had to be reduced
In the petition filed while filing the defamation case, Nora said that she has suffered a lot due to her name being dragged into the matter. Nora claimed that she has suffered a lot professionally due to being caught in the case. Many musicians got out of his hands. He was also stripped of tours to cities like the US and Canada. He was traded in several trade deals. He even had to reduce his fee by 50%.
What did Jacqueline say on Nora’s defamation case?
Jacqueline’s lawyer Prashant Patil reacted to Nora’s defamation suit. During a conversation with Hindustan Times, he said – ‘Jacqueline never said anything about Nora in public, so in such a situation, a defamation case cannot be filed on her behalf.
So far no notice has come from the court in this matter, it is only Nora or someone else who has leaked this news in the media. If any notice is received from the court, we will definitely cross-examine.
Now understand why Nora’s name came up in this case.
When Sukesh Chandrasekhar came under the law, he took the names of many celebrities. The names of Jacqueline and Nora were included in it first. Sukesh said that he has gifted both of them luxury cars, Persian cats, exotic horses, houses and jewellery.
