Giving information in this regard, Balwinder Singh, cousin and relative of the deceased brothers, said that Baljinder Singh (42), son of Ratan Singh, was working in the fields with his family members, who suddenly felt panic, so he was immediately taken to a private hospital in Batala. He was taken where the doctors declared him dead.
He said that when the news of his death was given to his elder brother Sukhwinder Singh, who works as a driver in a private company in Ludhiana, he suddenly suffered a heart attack as he could not bear the pain of his brother's death. He was also taken to Chandigarh by the company officials where he was also declared dead by the doctors.
Today, when the dead bodies of both brothers were brought to Samsan Ghat for the last rites, the relatives and family members were in a very bad condition and there the dead bodies of both brothers were burnt in the same pyre. On this occasion, a large number of Sukhwinder Singh and Baljinder Singh were bid farewell by their relatives and friends with moist eyes.
On this occasion, the family members have demanded from the company officials that the family members of the deceased should be given jobs in the company so that they can support their families.
