Manish Sisodia, Delhi Liquor Policy Case: A hearing was held on Tuesday on the bail petition filed by former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Liquor Policy case. The ED counsel opposed the bail.

Referring to the earlier decision, the ED counsel said that the court should not grant bail at this stage. After this, the Rouse Avenue court reserved the decision. The court will now pronounce its verdict on the bail on April 26.

Manish Sisodia’s counsel said there was no cap on the distributor margin, which was capped at 12 per cent. Sisodia’s counsel said that the profit margin was 12%, 5% being the minimum limit. Sisodia’s lawyer said that Ravi Dhawan is a bureaucrat, he is not the President of India. We included many of Ravi Dhawan’s suggestions, some we also rejected.

Sisodia’s lawyer said that can the court explain why the lottery was drawn for the tender? Why was the tender not bid?

If the Deputy Chief Minister asked an officer to act according to the law, where is the crime? ED counsel argued after Manish Sisodia’s bail arguments were over.
