The court has held the accused Sandeep guilty of Section 304 SC-ST Act of IPC. The allegation of rape has not been proved. Three accused Lavkush, Ramu and Ravi have been acquitted after being acquitted.

On 14 September 2020, a case of gang-rape with a 19-year-old girl in a field came to light in a village under Chandpa police station area of ​​Hathras. The victim was found lying unconscious in the field. He was taken to the District Joint Hospital in critical condition. From there he was referred to JN Medical Aligarh. In her statement, the woman accused four youths of the village, Sandeep Thakur, Ramu, Lavkush and Ravi, of gang-rape. After this, the police arrested the accused and sent them to jail.

Meanwhile, on 29 September 2020, the girl died at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. After this, the police-administration took the dead body of the girl to the village in the middle of the same day and performed the last rites. Due to this, the administration, police and the government were in a lot of trouble. During the hearing in the court which lasted for more than two years, in a total of 68 dates, 35 people testified. People associated with both sides cross-examined in the court. After the incident, Hathras had come in discussions in the whole country. After the SIT, the CBI also investigated this matter.
