Daduwal alleged that the committee did not organize any event in any gurdwara during Baisakhi, Amrit Sanchar did not take place, Mahant Karamjit Singh held the program only in his camp. Daduwal said if he had to run his camp then why became the president of the Haryana committee. He said that there are 52 Gurudhams in the state but Mahant Karamjit Singh has not visited so far.
Mahant Karamjit Singh is not fit to be president
The former president of HSGPC said that Mahant Karamjit Singh is not fit to be the president, he threatens the employees and members and has abused many times, it has reached the point of handcuffing. Daduwal alleged that the president of the committee has come down on misdemeanors, he said, we made many reforms in the management committee with 2 years of hard work, but it has ruined it in 2 months. Earlier, when the Haryana government formed a new 38-member ad hoc committee in December 2022, Baljit Singh Daduwal was fully expected to become the president again, but at the last moment Mahant Karamjit Singh’s name was put forward for the presidency. After which Daduwal came out of the meeting. At that time Daduwal did not speak much but his displeasure was clearly visible. Months ago, when the Haryana Committee started managing the gurdwaras of the state, Daduwal was seen standing with the committee. But the displeasure which was somewhere has now come out openly. It is clear that this conflict started between Daduwal and Mahant Karan Singh will intensify in the coming days.
Nalvi also raised questions on the new committee
On the other hand, Haryana Sikh Samaj President and former member of Haryana Committee Didar Singh Nalvi has also surrounded the present committee, he said that historical days like Hola Mohalla and Baisakhi have not been celebrated in any historic gurdwara of Haryana. Nalvi said that the present committee Haryana is working on the instructions of the government, they also questioned the budget of the committee, Nalvi said that the budget presented by the committee under Mahant Karamjit Singh is beyond comprehension. He said that President Karamjit Singh and Secretary Gurwinder Singh Dhamija are not able to handle the committee, they should resign. Nalvi said that when we asked the president why you have not brought the medical college of Shahabad under the Haryana committee so far, he gave the legal reasons behind it while the Supreme Court has already directed that the Haryana committee should take over its management.
The SGPC had described the Haryana committee as a government committee
SGPC was already calling the existing Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee as a government committee, they allege that the formation committee is being run by the Haryana government at the behest of the government. Earlier, former president Jagdish Singh Jhinda also came with Akali Dal and accused the Haryana government of running the committee, but when the Haryana committee started taking over the gurdwaras, he also sided with Mahant Karamjit Singh.
