Fee of Poor Students Haryana: No poor child will be deprived of higher education due to lack of money in Haryana. University to determine the annual income category of such children with family identity card data. The state government will pay the fee of such poor children. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Standing Finance Committee held here today under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, who also holds the charge of the Finance Department.

In the meeting, approval was given to release a grant of Rs 100 crore for building and other construction works of Sports University Haryana, Rai Sonepat. It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister in his budget speech for the year 2023-24 informed the House of the decision to establish the Haryana Sports University in Sonepat to promote research and study in various disciplines related to sports such as sports infrastructure, sports science, sports technology, sports management, sports nutrition and sports education by adopting international practices and expressed the hope that the sports university will be established in 2023. – Will start working in 24

Fulfilling his promise in the same series, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 100 crore in the Standing Finance Committee for the university, which includes Rs 50 crore as loan-in-grant and Rs 50 crore as grant-in-aid.

Short term fitness certificate course will be started in sports university

In the meeting, the Vice Chancellor of the University Mr. SS Deswal informed the Chief Minister that the Haryana Sports University is being established on 254 acres of land. 100 crore rupees will be spent in 2023-24, 230 crore rupees in 2024-25, 200 crore rupees in 2025-26 and 100 crore rupees in 2026-27. A total budget of Rs 630 crore is proposed. The university will have regular courses of PhD, MSE, BSE in Sports Science. Apart from this, it is also proposed to start a 42-day fitness certificate course in 50 seats. There will be 20 seats for MSE, 50 seats for BSE, 5 seats for Ph.D.

Youngsters of Haryana go to private agencies for joining army, para-military force and police and for physical preparation where money is also charged more. The university will conduct the courses in less money. He also informed that at present sports universities are functioning in Patiala, Imphal, Chennai and Varodra in the country.

Additionally, the committee approved the release of Rs 105 crore for Lala Lajpatrai Veterinary Medical and Veterinary Science University, Hisar.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary of Higher Education Department Navdeep Singh Virak and other officials were present in the meeting. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Umashankar also joined the meeting through VC.
