He said that the school education department has started summer camps from 3 to 15 July for students from pre-primary to middle to encourage the spirit of learning through activities and other methods. He said that teachers of government schools are trying their best to further develop learning techniques and new methods are being adopted to make the curriculum more interesting.
Bains said that the School of Eminence will be a great success in the history of education in Punjab as the personal and academic development of the students will be done by experienced and dedicated teachers in such a way that they can acquire more than book knowledge. He said that they will also be prepared for competitive exams.
Education Minister Harjot Bains further said that the department has kept a budget of Rs 5.06 crore for the purchase of materials for these summer camps. These camps will boost their confidence level and instill a sense of creativity while bringing out the hidden talent within.
“In the summer camps, students are being exposed to activities related to intellectual activities, health care, sports, arts, basic values, mathematics, environmental education and language skills,” he said.
