Mumbai: Famous Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal is celebrating her 39th birthday today. He was born on March 12, 1984 in a Bengali Brahmin family in Berhampur, Murshidabad, West Bengal. His father, Bishwajit Ghoshal, is an electrical engineer and works for the Atomic Energy Corporation of India, and his mother, Sharmistha Ghoshal, is a housewife with a post-graduate degree in literature. Shreya Ghoshal has recorded songs for films and albums in many different languages. For which she has also won many awards.
Singer started learning music at the age of just four. At the age of six, he began his formal training in classical music. At the age of sixteen, she became the winner of the television singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’. At the same time he met the mother of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After which she made her Bollywood debut as a playback singer in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2002 released romantic drama Devdas. Apart from being a playback singer, Shreya Ghoshal has appeared in several television reality shows and music videos as a judge.
