The “green light” for the recruitment of 1,213 regulars in the municipal police is given by the Ministry of the Interior to ASEP in order to prepare the relevant announcement.

The recruitment of the new staff is in the planning of the competent ministry for the year 2023 and the draft of the announcement is expected to be sent to ASEP in September for final processing. The notice is expected to be issued after the “summer break” period, i.e. in the fall. As mentioned in the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision (JMA), the coverage of the 1,213 vacant organic positions will be done in 137 municipalities of the country and concerns 633 positions of the DE category, 183 of the PE category and 184 of the TE category.

It is worth noting that this is the first time that recruitment to the municipal police will be done entirely through ASEP procedures.

The qualifications that must be met by those who take part in the competition

The standard qualifications for the appointment of the special uniformed personnel of the municipal police by branch and specialty are as follows:

– for the PE branch of the Municipal Police, the degree or diploma of any department of A.E.I. of the country or an academically equivalent or equivalent title from schools abroad,

– for the Municipal Police TE branch, the degree or diploma of any TEI department. of the country or an equivalent title from schools abroad,
– for the Municipal Police Department, any degree or diploma or diploma of Professional Specialty, Education and Training level 5 (I.E.K. or Post-High School Year – Apprenticeship Class EPA.L.) or Vocational Training level of post-secondary professional education I. FROM.
or Vocational High School (EPA.L.) or Vocational Specialty, Education and Training level 4
EPA.L. or Technical Vocational School (T.E.E.) Second cycle of Studies or Unified Polytechnic High School (E.P.L.) or Technical Vocational High School (T.E.L.) or Middle Technical Vocational School for Construction Managers or General High School or Unified High School or General High School or another equivalent title of a local or foreign school unit, regardless of specialty.

For all branches of special uniformed personnel of the municipal police, the following are defined as additional qualifications for appointment:

a. Knowledge of operating a Computer (PC) in the subjects of: (aa) word processing, (ab) spreadsheets and (c) internet services,

b. the possession of a driving license for a class B car or a two-wheeled machine, at least fifty (50) cubic centimeters,

c. at least a good knowledge of the English or French language.
