There Minister of State for Food and Logistics Satish Sharma inaugurated this ATM by cutting the ribbon. This ATM has been installed in the shop of Pankaj Giri, a fair price vendor in the Hasanganj food area.
On the matter, Minister of State Satish Sharma said that this ATM has been installed at three places in Uttar Pradesh. This is the first ATM of its kind in Lucknow. It has been installed here at a cost of Rs 12 lakh.
In such a situation where earlier rice, wheat etc. were given to the consumers after weighing them with scales, now the work of distributing ration to the consumers will be done through Grain ATM. At the same time, a consumer told, “The ration which was earlier given less, there will be no complaint either.”
This is how Grain ATM does its work
Significantly, in Grain ATM, the beneficiary will have to get his biometric scanned by putting his thumb in the Konnect POS machine. After this, according to the units fixed from the ATM, the wheat and rice will be released in the sack in the outlet in just two minutes. In such a situation, people will no longer have to stand in queues for hours.
