Govt slams natural gas prices, CNG and piped cooking gas to become more expensive

The government has hiked the price of natural gas by 62% for the next six months from tomorrow. This gas is used to make fertilizers and electricity. It is also converted into CNG used in vehicles and piped natural gas (PNG) used in kitchens. The price of both can go up quickly.

PPAC has issued orders to increase the price of natural gas. ONGC Government companies like Gas from domestic wells will cost 2. 2.90 per million British thermal units from today. So far, it is priced at 7 1.79.

The government has also increased the price of natural gas extracted from deep wells.
