The contractual employees of Punjab Roadways, Panbus and PRTC have also come in support of the nationwide strike. Today, on Wednesday, the wheels of 3300 buses of Panbus and PRTC will be stopped from 11 am to 1 pm.

Meanwhile, the employees will protest by stopping the buses and blowing up the effigy of the central government. Along with this, only 3-4 days of fuel is left in the government bus depot.

It may be mentioned that the strike of truck and bus drivers across the country continued on Tuesday in protest against the new hit and run law of the central government. Its impact was also seen in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

The wheels of about 1.10 lakh trucks and mini-trucks remained jammed in Punjab, due to which the supply of petrol, diesel, vegetables and other essential commodities has started to be disrupted in North India. It is known that about 40 percent of the pumps in Punjab are running out of petrol and diesel. Along with this, rationing of petrol and diesel has started in Chandigarh.
