Google AI Technology: ChatGPT was introduced in the month of November last year. Since then, OpenAI has revealed the extraordinary capabilities of ChatGPT and its impact on everyday life. The CEO of Google has expressed surprise about this before, now he is bringing Google’s own AI, named Bard AI. Let me tell you, the company was working on this powerful AI for the last six years and now finally the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai has introduced it. In a blog post, Pichai explained who Bard is and what are some of its basic functionalities. The name of the company’s language model is LaMDA, on which it will work.

What did the company say?

In Google’s words, Bard will make a huge contribution to expanding the world’s knowledge base with the power, intelligence and creativity of our big language model. It will be able to store information from the web and deliver it to the readers. Two years ago Google introduced an AI to facilitate next generation language and conversation which is powered by Language Model for Dialog Application (LaMDA). Google has named this LaMDA-powered AI service as Bard. Amidst the popularity of ChatGPT, Google has now taken it a step further and is opening it up to trusted testers before making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.

Capable of scaling to more users

The company said that we are initially releasing it with our light model version of LaMDA. This very small model requires significantly less computing power, allowing us to scale to a greater number of users. We will combine external feedback with our own internal testing to ensure that Bard’s responses meet a high bar for quality, safety and groundedness in real-world information. We’re excited for this phase of testing to help us learn and improve the quality and speed of Bard,’ Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a blog post.
