Hydrogen Bus Launch : The country has taken another step towards reducing carbon emissions. For this, OGL i.e. Olectra Greentech Limited, a subsidiary of MEIL i.e. Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited, has unveiled its first Hydrogen Bus. Olectra company has joined hands with Reliance to launch this hydrogen bus in the market.

Olectra Greentech has introduced a hydrogen bus in association with Reliance. Introduced as an alternative to traditional public transport, this bus is carbon emission free. Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL), a subsidiary of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited, said that the company is preparing to introduce the next generation transportation system in the Indian market.

Given the scarcity of natural resources and the negative effects of air pollution and carbon emissions, Olectra has launched a campaign to accelerate the process of developing hydrogen-powered buses.

This campaign will help the Government of India to achieve the goals of carbon-free hydrogen. According to the statement, Olectra aims to contribute to the country’s environmentally sustainable energy security through its hydrogen buses.

According to the information given by the company, the 12 meter long low floor bus has seating for 32 to 49 passengers. After filling hydrogen in the bus at once, it can be run up to 400 kilometers. It will take only 15 minutes to fill this much hydrogen. According to the statement, Olectra plans to introduce these buses within a year. (with language input)
