Uttar Pradesh is fast attracting indigenous foreign vehicle manufacturing companies. Several agreements related to this have also been signed in the Global Investors Summit held in UP last week. One of these big agreements has been signed by Kabira Mobility. Electric two-wheeler maker Kabira Mobility has decided to set up an electric vehicle plant at Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar. The company has also signed an MoU with the UP government in this regard.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Kabira Mobility has decided to set up a manufacturing unit in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 300 crore in collaboration with its Qatar-based partner Al-Abdullah Group. Giving this information on Saturday, the company said that this investment proposal was announced at the ongoing UP Global Investors Conference in Lucknow.

More than 1 lakh vehicles will be made every year

Kabira Mobility said in a statement that the plant, which will be built on about 50 acres, will have the capacity to produce 1.2 lakh vehicles per month. The plant will also have a fully automated battery unit and testing line, apart from an inventory management system and a robotic chassis welding line.

7000 youth will get jobs

The company said the new manufacturing unit would generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for 7,000 people. Jaibir Siwach, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kabira Mobility, said, โ€œWith the electric vehicle market growing two-three times faster, it has become necessary for us to stay ahead. Our second manufacturing unit in North India shows our commitment to meet the growing demand.โ€
