Heathro Airport in London, the British capital London, was closed today i.e. Friday. The power supply of the airport had to be discontinued due to a fire in an electrical substation near the airport on Thursday night. Due to this, 1300 flights have been suspended, from which 2 lakh 91 thousand passengers have been affected.
The fire was in Hayes in West London. Due to this, electricity of more than 5 thousand houses was lost. About 150 people have been evacuated from here. The London Fire Brigade, along with 70 fire fighters, overcame the fire till Friday morning. However, the fire has not yet been extinguished.
The UK counter terrorism police is investigating the case. The police is trying to find out whether there was any wrong intention behind the fire on the substation.
