FIR on 5 people including Punjabi singer Singa

An FIR has been filed against 5 people including Punjabi singer Manpreet Singh Singha for promoting obscenity and weapons in Kapurthala. A case has been registered on the complaint of Bhim Rao Yuva Force chief Amandeep Sahota.

The members of the force have written a complaint to SSP Kapurthala that Punjabi singer Manpreet Singh alias Singa, a resident of Jagniwal village, Hoshiarpur district, has tried to mislead the youth of Punjab by promoting weapons-related songs.

Obscene words have been used in the song
Now Singa’s new song Still Live.. which was launched a month ago is continuously playing on Punjabi channels. This song is full of profanity. This song also uses obscene words, due to which obscenity is spreading in the society. Such songs are not worth listening to.

Apart from Singa, the police have named producer Bade K Singh, director Amandeep Singh, Veerun Verma Sonu Gill DOP and song editor Jatin Arora. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 294 and 120B of the IPC.

A case was registered 2 years ago
Two years ago, Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Cell Mohali registered a case under Section 336 of IPC and Arms Act against Singa and his accomplice Jagpreet Singh alias Jaggi on the basis of a viral video. In this case, the sessions court had granted Singa’s anticipatory bail application.
