Nirmala Sitharaman: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s daughter Parkala Wangmai tied the knot on June 7. The wedding ceremony took place in a hotel in Bangalore. The wedding was conducted very simply, in which only family members participated. No political figure or VVIP attended the wedding.

Nirmala’s daughter Parkala was married symbolically according to Hindu tradition with the blessings of the saints of Udupi Adamaru Mutt. On this occasion, the bride was wearing a pink saree and a green blouse. While the groom wore a white pancha and shawl. Nirmala Sitharaman wore Molkalamaru saree on this special day.

Nirmala Sitharaman’s daughter Parkala has worked with a national newspaper. He holds a Master’s degree from the Department of English, University of Delhi. He also studied journalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Nirmala Sitharaman’s husband Parkala is a political economist who has been a communications consultant. He also held cabinet rank in the Andhra Pradesh government between July 2014 and June 2018.
