Father of Congress MLA nominated in murder case

Gurdaspur murder case: Gurmeet Singh Pahra, the father of Gurdaspur’s current Congress MLA Birindermeet Singh Pahra, has been nominated by the police in the murder case that took place yesterday. The case is about the murder of a 25-year-old youth due to a love affair yesterday.

According to the information received by the police officials, the complainant Veena, the mother of the deceased youth, had alleged that Gurmeet Singh, the father of MLA Birindermeet Singh Pahra, was inciting the accused not to resign with them and was giving money to the accused. A total of 6 persons, including a woman, including Gurmeet Singh Pahra, have been named by the police in this murder case.

In the complaint given to the police, Veena, the mother of the deceased youth Subham, has said that her son Subham Motu, who was about 25 years old, was a woodworker. On May 7, she and her son Subham Motu were present at their home. When at around 8.00 in the evening Bobby son of Sinda resident Pahra came to their house and took his son Subham with him who did not return home that night. The next day at around half past six in the morning, two people from the village came to his house and told that the body of Subham Motu was lying in someone’s field in the village itself.

The complainant further said that his son Subham Motu was in a relationship with a girl from the village. In this scandal, his brother, father and others beat Subham Motu to death.

In this murder case, the girl’s brother Bobby son of Sinda, her father Sinda son of Bachan Lal and 4 other Raju, Lava’s sons Hazara Lal, Kulwinder’s wife Raju and Gurmeet Singh son of Kartar Singh have been named in this murder case. He is the father of Gurdaspur MLA Barindermeet Singh. However, the MLA and his family are not ready to give any reaction to the matter at present because they are not picking up the phone even after repeated calls.
