A large number of farmers are arriving for the Mahapanchayat in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. Farmers have left for Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan in their private vehicles and buses.

A large number of police force and barricading has also been done on the Tikri border of Haryana and Delhi. After stopping the farmers, the policemen are noting their vehicle numbers. After questioning, the farmers are being allowed to enter the capital Delhi.

The Tikri border is the same border of the capital Delhi, where the farmers protested during the Kisan movement. When the Delhi Police did not allow the farmers to enter, the farmers had made their abode in the tractors. But this time the farmers are moving towards the capital Delhi.

Farmers say that they have been waiting for a long time but the government has not yet paid attention to their demands, so today a Kisan Mahapanchayat has been organized at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi and farmers associated with all farmers’ organizations have marched towards the capital Delhi. (Kishan Mahapanchyat) are doing march.

Jaswinder Singh, president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Azad, says that the government had assured them that the minimum support price would be implemented and their other demands would also be taken care of by the government.

After the assurance, the farmers left the Delhi front and went back to their homes, but despite the passage of time, the government has not yet paid attention to the demands of the farmers. The farmers say that this Mahapanchayat is only to open the eyes of the government and the government is being warned that if the demands of the farmers are not heeded soon, this movement can take a bigger form.
