Amritsar: The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee’s proposed train stop movement on April 23 has been postponed for 7 days. This information has been given by Sarwan Singh Pandher, State Secretary of Kisan-Mazdur Sangharsh Committee. He has said that due to the pressure of the continuous struggles, the government has continued the purchase of wheat uninterruptedly and in addition to this, due to the difficulties faced by the common people, the committee has decided to postpone this rail stop movement for the time being. However, the organization A keen eye is being kept on the purchase of wheat.

An emergency meeting was called today by the state core committee of the Kisan Majdoor Sangharsh Committee of Punjab and all these facts were consulted and finally this decision was taken and the rail stop march was postponed till April 29. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has said that if there is any kind of difficulty in the markets in the coming days or if the farmers are forced to go to the private silo warehouses, then the next meeting will be held and the struggle will be announced again.

He also said that if the Punjab government does not compensate the farmers for the cuts imposed by the Center as per their promise, then the organization will declare a strike. They have also demanded from the Punjab government that compensation for all crops including vegetables should be done as soon as possible after the first and latest hailstorm.
