Chandigarh: Today, 16 different farmers’ organizations will hold demonstrations against the central government in North India. Kisan Majdoor Sangharsh Committee Punjab State General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the countries participating in the two-day G20 summit being held in Delhi are occupying the markets of farmers and workers against which Ardhi Fuk protests will be held today. The farmer leader said that these Arthi Fook protests will be held at the Golden Gate of Amritsar and in all areas of the city and in all the districts of the state.

Let it be said that the farmers’ organizations held a meeting with the Center in Chandigarh in the past, on which no consensus could be reached regarding the related demands. After which farmers organizations took this decision. Giving information about this, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher had said that on September 8, protests against the government will be held across the country. Pandher had told that the train stop movement will be started on September 28, which will be in effect for three days in the whole of Punjab. Pandher said that the first phase will be started by stopping the trains in Punjab.

In the past, 16 organizations from 6 states of North India had announced to march to Chandigarh with demands related to the Centre. The organizations alleged that the Punjab and Haryana government used police force to arrest the leaders while they were going to hold a peaceful protest.
