Chandigarh: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has targeted the government. He released a video on his Facebook page saying that the floods have created havoc in Punjab. The canals leading to other states have also been blocked and the farmers in the state are suffering.

He questioned and said that when the governments are asked that the water causing havoc in the state during floods or heavy rains should be diverted to other areas, where there is a special need for water, the government has only one answer that the rains and The release of flood water will block the canals.

Dallewal said that the canals are closed due to these things, due to which the crops of the people in the state have been destroyed, the animals of the people have died, the houses of many have been ruined.

Accusing the government, he said that the destruction of millions of acres of crops and the loss of lives of millions of common people by the government would prove that the lives of people and the destruction of crops are of no importance to the government because the flood is the cause of the government. It is important to prevent silt from entering the Nehra. Therefore, the people were forced to die by closing the Nehra going out of Punjab by pushing the common people to death.

Along with this, he appealed to all farmers’ organizations and people and said that whoever has dry land should plant paddy for the farmers who are suffering from floods.

He has requested the farmers of the state who have surplus paddy or basmati paddy, those farmers whose paddy died, help each other to plant paddy after the water recedes, and those farmers who have raised fields where water does not come. He should plant PR.126 of Veer Paddy and Paneeri of Basmati so that the paddy of Veer, whose paddy has died due to this disease, can grow.
