Happy Birthday Yograj Singh: Former Indian cricket team player, actor and Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh is celebrating his 65th birthday on Saturday, March 25.
Most of the people know Yograj Singh for abusing former player and captain of Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, Yograj made a household name with his amazing acting in Punjabi films.
Yograj is often in the headlines for his provocative statements. His full name is Yograj Singh Bhag Singh Bhundal. After giving nearly 8 years to the Indian cricket team, he turned to the entertainment industry. These days, he is seen teaching the nuances of cricket to Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar.
Yograj Singh was born on 25 March 1958 in Ludhiana, Punjab. His mind was always in sports, that’s why he entered domestic cricket in 1976-77 but his playing career ended very soon.
Yograj Singh got a place in the Indian team for the Australia and England series in 1980-81, where he performed brilliantly. He was a right arm medium fast bowler. Due to injuries, his cricket career could not last long and in 1984-85 he said goodbye to cricket.
Step into Punjabi Film Industry:- After leaving cricket, he stepped into the Punjabi film industry and has worked in many films and TV serials so far.
You will be surprised to know that in 2014 Yograj was also arrested in a parking dispute. When Yuvraj Singh was young, his father Yograj divorced his first wife Shabnam.
After separating from Shabnam, he married Punjabi actress Neena Bundel. Explaining the reason for divorcing Shabnam, Yograj had said that his views were too modern. Our views did not match.
Yuvraj has a good relationship with his half-siblings. Zoravar is also active in the film world like his father. Yograj Singh’s hard work is behind making Yuvraj Singh ‘Sixer King’.
Yograj had two marriages:- Yuvraj Singh also has a younger brother Zorawar Singh. Both are Shabnam’s sons. Yograj has two children Victor and Amarjit Kaur after his marriage to his second wife Neena.
Zoravar is also active in the film world like his father. Yograj Singh’s hard work is behind making Yuvraj Singh ‘Sixer King’. Along with this, Yograj is now seen teaching cricket tricks to Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun.
