Famous actor Mangal Dhillon passed away

There is bad news for the cinema world. Famous actor, director and producer Mangal Dhillon passed away on Sunday morning. Actually he was suffering from cancer. Mangal Dhillon acted in many famous Hindi and Punjabi films including the popular film ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’. He also played strong roles in many TV serials. There is a wave of mourning in the film world after the news of Mangal Dhillon’s death.

Born in a Sikh family, Mangal Dhillon was a resident of Bandar Jatana village in Faridkot. He studied in Panj Garai Kalan government school till fourth grade but later he shifted to Uttar Pradesh with his father. He did his graduation from a school in Lakhimpur Kheri district. After that he again came to Punjab and completed higher secondary from Kotakpura and graduated from Government College in Muktsar. He also worked in theaters in Delhi and joined the Indian Theater Department at Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1979. It was here in 1980 that he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Acting.
