Bureau report : A young man was cheated of 5 lakhs in Dera Baba Nanak, border area of Gurdaspur. The accused woman cheated the young man by messaging him with a fake ID on Facebook. Money was taken from the young man on the pretense of taking him to London. Now the woman has closed all her phone numbers.
The victim has given a written complaint to the Gurdaspur police in this case. According to the police, this matter is a cyber crime and it will be resolved soon. Raja, a resident of village Pakhoke Tahli Sahib, said that in the process of going abroad, he started talking to a girl who was going abroad on Facebook. He was doing his small business in the village. Suddenly one day the girl messaged him on Facebook and said that she has been living in London for a long time.
The conversation between the two became friendly and the matter reached the point of marriage. The woman said that she will come to India and take him with her. After which he said he has a friend to whom hand over 5 lakhs. Then his visa will be issued.
Three people on the car came to take money
The victim got into the conversation and he reached the woman’s fixed place. A young man came with his 2 companions on the car to get money. After which the victims returned from there. When the victim called the girl again until returning home, her phone number was switched off. By the time the suffering king had some understanding, he had become a victim of fraud.
